You become the meaning of my life.
A couple of weeks before his birthday, I had planned a surprise with Mish's '420' friends (that's what he refers them to). Being broke had definitely impeded me from planning a bigger and better surprise. But because the poor boy hasn't had a surprise his entire life, I was determined to plan one for him, no matter the cost and magnitude. It was a small and simple affair. One that involved just Mish, myself and his group of friends. His friends make good actors (liars). Thanks to these wonderful people, the surprise went by pretty smoothly.
The surprise took place at exactly 12 midnight on the day of his birthday. So his celebration with me only happened in the later part of the day.
To start things off, I took him to dinner at F.I.S.H. We ordered 2 main dishes and 2 sides. Dinner was very satisfying and filling. The combination of fish, steak, squid and chicken lasted us through the entire night. Worth every cent, I swear.
After dinner, we made our way to Cineleisure to catch Love and Other Drugs. Contrary to most reviews and feedbacks, I actually thought the movie was quite boring. It lacked substance, and ending was very predictable. Mish caught me yawning and zoning out a couple of times throughout. Bad movie choice, I must say. Sorry dear.
By the time the movie ended, it was already close to midnight. Mish became impatient because he had yet to see his presents. We drove to Marina Bay and sat on a bench. He took out his presents and started unwrapping them. These are what he received from me:
1) A Sony Ericsson handphone
2) A Ben Sherman shirt
I admit the presents were not exactly fantastic. After all, I only had so much money (a non-contractual iphone 4 was way beyond my capability). The reason why I got him a phone was because his had died and he's currently using a friend's spare handphone (so sad right). So yeah, even though it wasn't much, I hope you like them nontheless.
Happy 23rd birthday love <3
