Can't get enough of this.
Things in Bangkok got messy as soon as we touched down. What luck right? Because of that, our itenary was ruined. We didn't had a Plan B, so we decided to just lay the plan for the day when we come round to it. As soon as we reached the hotel and checked in, we made our way to Khao Sarn Road. This place houses the best mix of locals and foreigners. It is a shopping haunt, an entertainment hub and food haven all rolled into one. Bf persuaded me to try this sweet treat called Banana Milk Pancake. Apparently, that was what he had in Thailand 2 years ago for breakfast everyday. It is actually banana, sandwiched in a dough that is coated with condensed milk. IT IS HEAVEN, I SWEAR. How I wish we had those in Singapore. Then, I'll have it for breakfast, lunch AND dinner. It is really THAT AWESOME. My mouth is watering at the express mention of it.
THE AWESOME BANANA PANCAKE.
On the 2nd day, we visited the famous Chatuchak Weekend Market. THIS PLACE IS HUGEEEEEEEEEEEE. It was so huge that we had to come back again the next day and STILL NOT COVER THE ENTIRE PLACE. This 1000X bigger version of Bugis Street houses the most quirky, fun and unimaginable stuffs on the planet. They sell everything and anything under the sun. Furnitures, pets, shoes, clothes, accessories, bags, ornaments, food. This was the place where I did most of my shopping. The weather there was unforgiving, though. I kept having dizzy spells while walking around the market. It was extremely hot in the afternoon. We headed back early on our first visit there. Had lunch in the hotel's restaurant where bf sang Hotel California in front of a live audience. In the evening, we had a full-body oil massage and seafood dinner at an open-air restaurant. One word= SHIOK.

Woke up late on the 3rd day. Headed to Chatuchak to do our last round of shopping. I got lots of stuffs on the 2nd visit as opposed to the first one. Got some apparels and shoes for myself and many other things for the family and the online shop. We decided to take the tuk-tuk instead of the taxi that day. It's a huge mistake if you are there and you never ride one. And oh, did I mention this? The drivers there are all super reckless. They beat the traffic, they honked at slow drivers, they cut the line and they drove like they're drunk AND crazy. It's ironic though that nobody there got killed. Haha.
It was near impossible to move around together when all of us are busy shopping away. Half the time, we were on our own, doing our own searching. The rest of the time, we'd be catching up on one another and having dinner together.
In the night, we walked around a nearby night market. And then, it was time to pack and get ready for home the following day.
Woke up the next day feeling abit reluctant and unfulfilled. Reluctant because the days went by so fast. Unfulfilled because there were still so much things to do and look at and buy, but the situation there was not getting any better. So we left home with heavy hearts. I'm hoping for another trip late this year or early next year. Next time, I'll make sure I fly off at the right timing, when the situation's all good and when the shopping districts are all open (:
Our buys (:
Still waiting for Que to upload the ones from her camera (: Weeeeeeeee~
